Veneers

If you have a chipped, cracked, or stained tooth – ask us about veneers. Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite that we can attach to the front of your teeth. With this treatment, we can conceal minor blemishes so you can enjoy a brighter, younger-looking smile!

What Are Veneers?

Veneers are small dental appliances that we can attach to the front of a tooth to fix minor imperfections. We offer both porcelain and composite veneers.

Porcelain veneers are made of wafer-thin shells of porcelain. They are made at an off-site dental lab, where specialists can design them to match the natural color and shape of your teeth. Porcelain veneers are beautiful, natural-looking, and long-lasting. They are more durable than composite veneers and can be used to restore large cracks, chips, and gaps.

Composite veneers are made from a composite resin material similar to bonding. They are more efficient and more natural-looking than bonding treatments. They are also very cost-effective compared to porcelain veneers.

During your consultation, Dr. Wynter will explain the pros and cons of both types of veneers and help you decide which one is best for your smile.

What Can Veneers Fix?

We use veneers to fix a variety of cosmetic issues. They are more reliable than bonding and can last for more than ten years with good care. We use this treatment to address problems such as:

  •   Chipped or cracked teeth,
  •   Gaps between teeth
  •   Misshapen teeth
  •   Severe tooth stains, and
  •   Excessive tooth wear.
How Do I Care for My Veneers?

To ensure your veneers stay in good shape it is important to brush and floss every day and avoid eating foods that may cause damage. Although veneers are stain-resistant, it is still possible for them to become discolored over time. To avoid this, do not consume too many dark-colored drinks like coffee, tea, or wine. Bright foods may also stain your teeth. Tobacco products are well-known for causing tooth discoloration – among other oral health issues. To keep your teeth and restorations bright, do not smoke or chew tobacco.

Can I Afford Veneers?

At New Roc Dental, we are happy to accept most major dental insurances. Before your visit, our team can review your insurance plan and coverage information to see if your treatment will be covered. If not, we offer a variety of other financing options.
